In 2014 I flew down to visit my father in Chloride Arizona. I quickly rented a Jeep and decided to pack in as much as I could in the few days I had. I managed to see parts of Mojave National Preserve, Joshua Tree Highway, Route 66, Death Valley, Christmas Tree Pass and a bit of the Chloride Mines trail.

Dad and I have a go at Christmas Tree Pass. The washouts were really bad.
Passed a few street cars on the trail that are probably rentals by tourists driving from the other side of the pass. Not sure how they made it through on the rough trail.

Salt flat is not so salty up close. It looks white from afar.

Christmas Tree Pass was in rough shape. They had recently had a lot of rain.
Great view and a great trail for a stock four wheel drive vehicle. (normally)
