For the first time, the Overland Rally series is offered in Canada. The inaugural 2017 BC Overland Rally will be held June 22-25 at the Hemlock Valley ski resort situated just outside of Vancouver.
Seven years ago, a team from Overland Journal magazine decided to create a series of regional overland events. The vision was to cross festival, seminar, and trade show into a single grand gathering, and so the Overland Rally series was born.

Following the popular format of the NW Overland Rally, the event will have a central demonstration area where there will be a free raffle and campfire held every evening. Surrounding the demonstration area will be a ring of vendors demonstrating gear and running classes. Surrounding the vendors will be overland camping, which includes a huge variety of campers, 4x4s, vans, tents, and you name it!
The event is being held in a beautiful location at the top of the Sasquatch Mountain Resort. The area around Hemlock Valley lets attendees experience mountain biking, 4x4 trail rides, hikes and some of BC's finest scenery when not learning, laughing, playing, wine-tasting, eating or winning prizes.
Top 4x4 instructors will be joined by a variety of experts, such as medical trainers, photography instructors, chefs, sommeliers, winching and recovery experts, and other highly-qualified trainers from around the region.
Expect inspirational and entertaining travellers’ stories each evening around the central campfire. There will be a nightly raffle and giveaways.
This is a family and dog friendly event that promises fun for all ages. Tickets are only $85 per person or $160 for the whole family. The price includes all classes as well as training and trail rides. The only thing not included is food.
